Rue and BOO

With so much going on over the past year, I never have properly introduced my new cats. The cat pictured above is Ms. Rue. She belonged to Keith and I inherited her after he died back in Jan. of this year. She was born in the woods at his campground so she is in her natural element now that she is living in the mountains. She can climb a tree lickity split. A sweet natured cat, she is very quiet and gentle - but she can hold her own.

Don't let Rue fool you though - if she knows BOO has snagged a sandwich, she helps him out - onions and all. Keith had a habit of feeding her a lot of subway sandwiches.....

The cat above is Mister BOO. His mother, a stray cat that was hanging around my Mom's former house, had a litter of kittens and BOO was the only survivor. He was born about a month after I lost my beloved rabbit, Angel. The way that he got his name was that when he was a kitten he loved to stand up all of his fur, bow up,and jump sideways at the other cats, trying to scare them. So he became BOO.

He was born hungry - and he is now a professional sandwich thief. Turn your back on your sandwich and BOO will grab it and have a bite taken out of it before his feet ever hits the ground! I'm having a terrible time of breaking him from this habit, but his behavior is getting better.

In future posts, you will see that Boo has been getting into a lot of trouble!
